FROM IDEA TO BUSINESS
Since its foundation, SMIT has focused research on surgery / radiology technologies, as nanotechnologies, robotics, information and communication technology (e-Health) or photonics. It has taken also special interest in issues related to safety of use of new technologies as well as adaptative aspects of technology to the real and virtual mobility of knowledge and education in medicine .
The content of the meeting, with top-level experts from around the world participating, is addressed to healthcare professionals, from managers to practitioners and nurses, as well as experts in biomedicine engineers and potentially-manufacturers of medical instruments and apparatus of interest, which are the key of technological development.
In fact, this is one of six simultaneous meetings held at the same venue, ever these days with related topics. This forum, known as "Catalonia: Working in Health" has as a main goal, in addition to the usual exchange of knowledge among participants, the promotion of new horizons for companies pending a reorientation of their usual activity. Based on proposals from the field of healthcare, from the own professional-users-health technologies, we are convinced that this forum can be an important meeting point for it all.
